Reaffirm that the speaker of the House of Commons is to be Politically impartial
It is stated that: "Politically impartial
Speakers must be politically impartial Therefore on election the new Speaker must resign from their political party and remain separate from political issues even in retirement However the Speaker will deal with their constituents problems like a normal MP
Parliament should discuss the speakers role and consider and debate what is and is not considered to be impartial. For example they could discuss past examples for public statements rom any speaker for debate.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do to "reaffirm" that the role of the Speaker is impartial.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
