Stop childcare costs for parents on Universal Credit being paid in arrears

Petition Details

One of the most significant factors driving the shameful spike in holiday hunger is childcare costs. Parents on UC must pay costs upfront before they are repaid in arrears, later. This leaves many struggling to pay for food and activities during the holidays.

We demand the government change this.

Additional Information

The Big Issue has been campaigning on holiday hunger all summer.
It is a national scandal that children go hungry as they miss out on the meals they get in term time.
