Porogue Parliament
Parliament must allow Government time to prepare its new legislation for insertion into the Queen's Speech and to also prepare the country for full withdrawal from the EU on 31st October 2019 in compliance with the referendum result.
The majority of the time taken up by the proposed prorogue period has already been set aside for Party conferences, meaning there will be ample time for Parliament to debate the process and in any case, there is unlikely to be change to the status quo to debate until after the EU summit on 17th-18th October.
