Allow all UK students to take mental health days
As suicide rates hit a 50-year high, it has become increasingly clear that we need to take mental health seriously. According to the World Health Organization mental health issues will be the leading cause of death among young people by 2020.
If this was to come into place it will allow students to apply for mental heath days in order to relax and take a break

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand that you're concerned about the mental health of students, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. In particular, we're not sure if you're concerned about authorised absences for people with mental health conditions or if you want all students to have days away from school, in addition to regular holidays, to focus on their mental health.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
