Dissolution of the United Parliament created in 1707 should require a referendum of all citizens of the UK.
The Union of 1707 dissolved the former parliaments of England and Scotland and created a new United Parliament at Westminster.
Scottish Independence, as well as giving full sovereignty to the Scottish Parliament, would lead to the dissolution of the United Parliament, and the creation of a new Parliament for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Thus a binding referendum as proposed by the Prime Minister on Scottish Independence is a significant constitutional question for the whole United Kingdom; consequently all citizens of the UK should vote in any binding referendum on this issue.
