Requiring anyone to have special licensing for large knives within the UK
Dangerous articles including Machetes, Hunting knives, Samari swords, kukri's and any other knives over 3 inches should be licensed. Exceptions being: kitchen knives, meat cleavers and other sorts which should still apply and be inline with 18+ laws that are already in place.
To obtain a license you would have had to have special background checks be completed on you such as mental health checks and criminal record checks, You'd need to be correctly ID'ed, You would also need to be correctly educated on the risks and dangers of carrying machetes or knives in public and the life-threatening effects to the victim and their family.
