Repeal the fixed term parliament act of 2011
It’s clear that nothing can be done substantially in this Parliament. It’s time for a general election. Despite this, the opposition have opposed this. Repealing this will mean that we can have a much-needed election
The fixed term parliament act means that we can only have a general election every five years unless 2/3 of the members of parliament support a general election. However, even although a general election is much needed Parliament is not supporting this which means that we are not moving forward.
