Declare a national emergency and call an election.

Petition Details

Brexit uncertainty and faith in democracy is at an all time low.
No party has a majority in Parliament and things are now gridlocked.
Out reputation as a Democratic nation and the sovereignty of the Crown is at stake.

Additional Information

Individuals and businesses cannot bear any more uncertainty.
Procrastination and subversion is harming our Union and impacting on the livelihoods of millions.

We need a government with a mandate to be decisive.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We understand you're concerned about the UK leaving the EU but we're not sure what you want to happen in relation to Brexit by calling a national emergency. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you'd like to happen.

There's already a petition about a general election which you might like to sign. You're more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
