Petition Action

To make it easier to get mental health problems diagnosed quicker for children.

Petition Details

We have a child with suspected Autism/Anxiety which is pending diagnosis only after a 9 yr battle with health/educational settings. After just 1 week at high school we have took the decision to home school him due to lack of interest/funding for him. If you believe every child matters please sign.

Additional Information

There seems to be more closures for mental health services and lack of funding but its clear there is a high demand for such services.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We understand you're concerned about children with mental health problems and autism but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do, for example to increase funding for children's mental health and autism diagnostic services in the NHS and local education authorities.

There's already a petition about funding for special educational needs in schools which you might like to sign if it calls for something you'd like to happen.
