British ~ Economy ~ Education ~ Individuals ~ National Curriculum ~ Parliament ~ voting age
Make politics and economics a compulsory part of the national curriculum.
Most British teenagers reach voting age with very little idea of how the country is run. The words politics and economics are often foggy minefields filled with confusion.
Little is done to make sure that those of voting age are well informed when it comes to casting their vote.
A basic foundation of knowledge surrounding the political and economic landscape would greatly help British youth to make well rounded and informed decisions when casting their vote in local and general elections.
Education should include how Parliament is run, how political parties are formed, how the economy affects individuals, managing finances, history of political parties & government structure.
