Petition Action

The government to stop the peerage of the MP for Bassetlaw Mr John Mann.

Petition Details

I request that her majesty’s government reconsider the peerage that has been afforded to the right honourable MP for Bassetlaw Mr John Mann, this appointment is widely seen as cronyism from the outgoing government of her right honourable MP Theresa May & makes a mockery of the honours list,.

Additional Information

Mr John Mann MP has consistently voted against his party & in favour of the opposition, while this is not in itself unconstitutional or even breaks party rules, it does leave open to debate that this peerage has been awarded for services rendered to the government from an opposition MP who has favoured them.
