Petition Action

Abolish private car parking companies enforcement of fines.

Petition Details

It should be made unlawful for any private car parking company in the UK to access your personal infornation to create financial fines. This should only be the right of the police, DVLA, NHS and other relevant government bodies.

Additional Information

Private car parking companies are making a fortune by fining vehicle drivers for various insignificant reasons.

We don’t need to be taking our borders back from hard working people from outside the UK, we need to be taking our hospital, train station and town centre car parks back from corporations created to make money from peoples mishaps.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We're not sure if you're concerned about all parking penalties issued by private parking companies or private parking companies accessing personal data in order to issue penalty notices. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you'd like the UK Government or Parliament to do.

There's already a petition about regulation of parking in private car parks. You might like to sign this petition if it calls for something you'd like to happen. You're more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
