Petition Action

Give taxpayers a rebate in compensation for prorogation of parliament!

Petition Details

Parliament is in recess for five weeks. Politicians have just had a six week summer recess. The taxpayer should not have to fund an extended holiday for parliamentarians who are no longer sitting to debate legislation to improve nor protect citizens' lives.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
