Ban candidates from standing in elections for parties they are not members of.
Change law to stop candidates from standing in elections as candidates for parties they are not members of.
The public expect political candidates to be members of the parties they say they represent. If they are not and have never been members of the party it’s affront to democracy & must end.
The Brexit Party has no members and is controlled by a tiny handful of elite shareholders. It fields candidates who are not members in elections. The Electoral Commission is powerless to stop this because the law is wrong. Change the law to give the public confidence that when voting for party candidates they are voting for people who are actually members of a genuine and democratic political party not a company.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Selection of candidates is a matter for political parties, not the Government or Parliament as a whole.
