School policy on haircuts
We feel that the schools haircut policy needs changed. We the public are trying to teach children to be independent & comfortable in who they are, but school policy dictates that a child can not have a haircut shorter than XYZ.
1. A child getting a haircut can make them feel good about themselves and improve their self- confidence.
2. A child getting a haircut may be their only for of expression in school and they're being punished for self-expression.
3. Some of the kids who come into my barber shop are footballers and need to keep a good hair cut for when photos are taken.
4. Many kids who get a hair cut below school standards are often put into isolation or even suspended.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand you're concerned about schools' policies on haircuts, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the UK Government or Parliament to do. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you'd like to the Government or Parliament to do.
