Make parking in supermarket car parks cost as much as average parking costs in the nearest town centre
A petition to create a level playing field for small town centre businesses, especially food businesses. Parking at supermarkets is free, why not make it cost as much as the average nearest town-centre parking?
Small town centre businesses need this to make the competition between them and the supermarkets more fair.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Supermarket parking charges are the responsibility of the supermarket companies, not the Government.
