Make it illegal by UK law to resell tickets at over face value cost
Currently, it is legal for people to sell tickets at over the face value price for events such as concerts and gigs. It’s completely unacceptable that resale ticketing sites are allowing this to happen, especially at extortionate prices genuine fans cannot afford, therefore should be made illegal.
This Government article does not mention about what price tickets can be resold at therefore does not fully protect fans: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-rules-will-protect-fans-from-ticket-touting
One of the resale sites allowing sellers to resell tickets at over face value, Viagogo, have been in trouble in the past for breaking consumer protection laws:
