Ban compulsory rules on uniform in schools
Children are being humiliated, given detentions and exclusions for minor uniform issues. Such as the wrong black trousers, uniform not purchased via set sites costing £100s
Not all parents can afford and not all children are the same shape.
Focus on teaching not clothes
Every day I am seeing parents complain about how children are being told off for wrong shape shoes, non logo PE kit. Trousers with no crease or wrong type of black trousers.
I understand having a uniform is important apparently but when it takes away from the childs education and puts pressure on their mental wellbeing just because on minor detail then its ridiculous and damaging.
Not all students come from the same backgrounds
Not all parents have the same means
