Mr Rees-Mogg must retract inaccurate comments he made about Dr Nicholl.
Dr Nicholl, an expert contributor to the government's Yellowhammer report on the impact of a no-deal Brexit, raised significant patient safety concerns. Mr Rees-Mogg suggested he was scaremongering and made deplorable comments comparing Dr Nicholl to discredited ex-researcher Andrew Wakefield.
The BMA described these comments as ‘utterly disgraceful’, saying that they could not be subject to a defamation action as they were made in Parliament. They also pointed out that far from ‘fearmongering’, he was raising concerns which were widely and justifiably held among doctors.

This a matter for Mr Rees-Mogg, rather than the Government or Parliament as a whole.
