I've been diagnosed with N.E.A.D. since May 2018 and this has changed my life totally.
So many life activities have changed for my safety including leaving home, visiting the toilet, bathing is just the start.

Please help me us get the recognition we deserve to function on a day to day basis.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. Laws and policies, including the Equality Act, don't list specific conditions and define them as disabilities. In most cases, it’s the impact that a health condition has on the person’s life that qualifies them for support or protection under the law.

You can find out more about showing that you're disabled under the Equality Act here:

www.citizensadvice.org.uk/law-and-courts/discrimination/protected-characteristics/showing-you-re-disabled-under-the-equality-act/

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do to support people who are suffering from N.E.A.D., for example to increase funding for research into and treatment of the condition.
