Oblige MP’s who change parties to stand for re-election in a bye-election
An MP who stands for election under the ticket of a political party undertakes to support the delivery of the commitments made by the manifesto of that party.
To change allegiances mid-term to a Parliament is a breach of the contract he/she entered into with their constituents.
