Government to fund a programme to improve safety of inland waterways.
Make the waterways of Britain safer by funding a programme of safety measures across the waterways of our country, men and women of all ages have had their lives needlessly cut short.
Barriers or life ropes at accident hotspots could help prevent more deaths along the waterways.
Please listen and sign this petition so we can raise awareness and stop unnecessary deaths to people.
In the early hours of the 12th of November 2016, my cousin, Shaun Rigby unfortunately lost his life in the Leeds and Liverpool canal at Eanam Wharf, Blackburn. In the years since his death I have stated that I want to raise awareness to increase in safety measures along the canal completing an arduous event. I am hoping that if the run is advertised and supported, it will highlight the need for extra safety measures to be put in place along accident hotspots along UK waterways.
You can't sign this petition because it is now closed. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
