Southsea demand a public enquiry into residential permit parking chaos
Portsmouth City Council has introduced a Residential Parking Permit system, which has proved in the haphazard way it has been implemented, to be a chaotic scattergun approach which has caused great anger, frustration and inconvenience to residents not included in the scheme.
Portsmouth City Council are not engaging or responding to any enquiries from residents over this rising situation and no explanation has been forthcoming into why some roads have been excluded, when and If they are ever going to be included. In the meantime residents in non permit areas have to park up to half a mile away from where they live. Therefore we demand a public enquiry into how this scheme is being managed and who is accountable.
