Teachers against Michael Gove's proposed changes

Additional Information

Opposed to Michael Gove's proposal for; longer working hours, shorter holidays and greater powers to the Headteacher. If you are against the changes please sign the petition. What do we want? 1) The working day to remain the same. 2) No reduction of school holidays. 3) Headteacher powers to remain the same and not to be increased. 4) Genuine consultation with teachers in schools. The introduction of a nominated committee of 6 to 10 teachers from NQT to SLT. Any changes should be addressed through the committees and feedback given directly to the Education Office and Unions.
