Boris Johnson acted unlawfully in suspending parliament and must resign

Petition Details

The Supreme Court has ruled that Boris Johnson has acted unlawfully in suspending parliament. We believe he has done this knowingly and has refused to release communications concerning the decision, as demanded by parliament. He is treating parliament and the law with contempt and must resign.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The resignation of the Prime Minister would be an individual decision for that person, and not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole.

If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or Parliament, you could start a petition about that.
