Make it compulsory to hold a byelection when MPs switch parties.
MPs are rarely elected for who they are as most voters choose a party and a manifesto that best aligns with their own view. So when the MP chooses to switch parties the electorate should be given the opportunity to vote for a new MP. The recent behavior of some MPs makes this change imperative.
The number of defection in this parliament is all the evidence required.
