Parliament to enforce upon the judiciary Article 9 of the bill of rights 1689

Petition Details

The recent prorogation case demonstrated the law is an ass if judges themselves are ignorant of the act 1689 two courts ruling was correct in stating prorogation was not a legal matter but a political one the Scottish High Court and the Supreme Court acting unlawfully in regard to this act

Additional Information

Since Article 9 of the bill of rights 1689 is quite clear in the role of the courts that parliament makes the laws and the courts administer these according to the legal rules laid down and does not question proceedings in parliament the the High court in Scotland should have thrown the appeal out as should the Supreme Court

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
