Parliamentarians must not use rhetoric likely to encourage abuse or violence.

Petition Details

The language and rhetoric used by government ministers and members of parliament is increasingly intended to stoke division and hostility in the country - leading to an increase in abuse and potentially violence. Our government and representatives have a duty to ensure public safety.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
