Amend the Dangerous Dogs Act – don’t define dogs based on their breed

Petition Details

Growing up around family pets of various dog breeds, I became aware of their incredible intelligence, ability an companionship. As the global most popular domestic pets, dogs vary infinitely on breed, traits and personalities. I believe all dogs, regardless of breed can be pets when trained correct.

Additional Information

I believe new research that shows the dogs breed doesn't affect the dogs aggression or temper, should be considered to revise the dangerous dogs act of 1991.

A prime example of how calm a pitbull can be is shown here:

The dangerous dogs act of 1991 should NOT Discriminate a dog by its breed, however it should address the requirements needed to own and correctly train your dogs behaviour.
The owner is responsible for raising their pet responsibly.
