Add on a Fixed Penalty for NOT stopping after Hitting someone, say Two Years.
Today more and more are Failing to Stop after Hitting someone, this is becoming common, several Police Officers among them, so there needs to be some a deterrent to try and Kerb these actions, the Police have to put in a lot of time finding the idiots at cost.
Life is becoming very cheap.
My view is there is NO respect for others.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, calling for failing to stop to attract a mandatory two year prison sentence, if that's what you want to happen.
