Parliamentarians not to use language which could incite violence agst opponents
These are febrile times in our lovely country. Divisions have been heightened & language about opponents has been coarsened. Talk of treachery by either side is wrongheaded and dangerous. It risks making our divisions everlasting. It could risk the lives of MPs and others. It is time to pull back.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Use of language in the House of Commons chamber is a matter for individual Members of Parliament, rather than the Government or Parliament as a whole.
The Speaker of the House of Commons, rather than the Government or Parliament as a whole, is responsible for maintaining order in the House of Commons chamber.
