3.5ton gvw mas weight
as of 4/12/2011 a new eu directive came into force effecting 3500kg commercial vehicles used for towing for hire and reward the addition of a trailer is now incorporated in the weight calculation gross mass, even though your vehicle has a train weight , you cannot exceed 3500kg without obtaining an operators licence, bad news for everyone concerned, not just o licence but you now also need a cpc certificate these were designed for much larger and complicated vehicles /unserviceable by everyone accept you local hgv garage , now a simpler idea would have been just to have the vehicle and trailer moted every 6 months keep service records and use a tacho so we need a change in the law please sign this petition as ultimately this will cost jobs
