Allow British citizens the right to choose doctor-assisted suicide/euthanasia
British citizens should legally be able to choose to die with dignity with a medical professional administering the drugs that they need to die. There should be safeguards put into the law, to ensure people are not coerced into requesting this, but are competent to make the decision.
In the UK under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 there is a whole section on ‘unnecessary suffering’.
I watched my brother-in-law suffer, both physically and mentally for around 6 weeks after he was ready to die. I passionately believe that this is something where people should have the choice.
