Any MP that changes he/her political affiliation should trigger a By-election.
When a person is chosen by a constituency it is based on his/her political views and the party they represent. If that person then changes to a different party with different views, then he/she hasn't got the the support of the voters who voted for them and therefore should trigger a by-election.
