Petition Action

We need a anti corruption law to regain public trust

Petition Details

What is needed is a anti corruption law to cull corruption of everyone that holds a public seat or high government office as their is certainly a need for them to publish their salaries and expenses yearly. We have come to a stage of governance where the people do not trust Government officials

Additional Information

The evidence this law is needed! at the moment all polls indicate the mistrust.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. In particular, we're not sure how you'd like to change existing laws about corruption.

MPs pay and expenses are decided by and monitored by the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA), which is independent of both the Government and Parliament. You can find out how to contact IPSA here:

www.theipsa.org.uk/about-us/contact-us/

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
