Petition Action

Refuse to appoint a UK commissioner to the EU if it resists no deal.

Petition Details

The EU is acting like the fitness industry. Gyms like people to pay their membership but not come! (1) The EU wants our £50 million/day. Now we are leaving it is doing all it can to stop it for financial reasons. We can stop this by refusing to appoint a commissioner so it can't operate legally.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. The Govenrment has already confirmed it does not intended to nominate a Commissioner. In any case, not appointing a Commssioner would not stop the UK from being a member state of the EU.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
