Ban gambling advertisements on TV before the watershed.
The number of gambling adverts on TV now is alarming. This is promoting people of all ages to start participating in gambling and the number of people that now have diagnosed gambling addictions is on the rise. I'm calling on Parliament to ban gambling adverts before the watershed.
According to a report in The Independant, the NHS are now opening a gambling addiction clinic for children aged between 13-25. Research has found that the number of young people struggling with gambling addiction has quadrupled in just 2 years. The gambling commision estimate that 55,000 children in the UK are now classed with having a gambling addiction. Advertisments for gambling needs to be banned to prevent more young children being victims to online gambling sites.
