Revoke planning permission to build on a vital nature reserve at Askham Bog
Vulture property developers are continuing to target land adjacent to an ecologically important nature reserve in York which threatens to drain the bog and destroy its ecosystem. Both the local MP or the council have objected to it yet the application continues until it gets the answer they want.
Planning permission can be revoked in exceptional circumstances by the Secretary of State. This is an exceptional circumstance, not only because of the damage it will cause to the bog, it will also place more strain on local services, infrastructure and, dare I say it, ignores the democratic wishes of both the local citizens and David Attenborough.
