Make the NHS decide on a case-by-case basis who is eligble for IVF treatment
I am 25 years old and I suffer from low ovarian reserve. I was referred to the Eastbourne DGH fertility clinic where I was told I would not receive any help with IVF (despite the Doctor saying natural conception is less that 1%) because my husband is the father of an 11 year old.
I think it would be fair remove the rule of 'no living children from either couple' that the CCG are allowed to rule on. Either make the rule 'no living children from current relationship' OR decide based on medical needs and necessity.
I do not believe it is fair that the NHS are deciding I cannot have a child.
