Petition Action

Stop Schools Sharing Children's Behaviour Data

Petition Details

Most secondary schools collect behaviour data and then share this data via the cloud with commercial companies. This petition aims to stop schools sharing our children’s behaviour records.

Additional Information

www.mychildsdata.com is a campaigning group for parents to stop third parties gaining access to schoolchildren's behaviour data.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. Schools are already required to follow data protection laws.

You could start a new petition for parents and children to have a legal right to opt-out of data sharing, if that's what you'd like to see happen.
