Ban plastic toothbrushes
The government must ban plastic tooth brushes in the same way as plastic straws. 1 toothbrush takes 1000 years to biodegrade and in the process leaks harmful chemicals into our soil and water. This needs to stop.
Plastic toothbrushes could then be replaced with eco-friendly alternatives like bamboo to save the planet. Bamboo is extremely fast growing and therefore sustainable.
Did you know it takes 1000 years for a plastic toothbrush to biodegrade?
You use on average 4 a year average life span in the UK is 80 years. That's 316 plastic toothbrushes for one person alone that will be on this planet for at least 1000 years in landfill!
It is so easy to change by simply removing the option of a plastic toothbrush and replacing with Eco Friendly alternatives like Bamboo.
I went on holiday and looked into the beautiful sea and it was full of plastic bottle caps and a plastic toothbrush.
