Change the process for poor MP behaviour to be in line with other public leaders
The behaviour of some MPs is a national and international disgrace. The current process with the IPC/Standards Committee is not transparent and is ineffective. Publicly evidenced incidents that would result in members of the general public losing their jobs are not referred, and are ignored in MPs.
ALL incidents of behaviour that contravene the Code must be identified, challenged and sanctioned by the IPC and Standards Commissioner, without exception. Sanctions for MPs for financial irregularity, lying, or racist, sexist, homophobic, abusive, violent, discriminatory, anti-social or anti-semitic behaviour must be brought into line with other leaders in public office (eg headteachers). A panel of public leaders must be appointed to oversee the effectiveness of the IPC and Standards Committee

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. There is already a Code of Conduct and sanctions available for Members who fail to adhere to it. Investigations can take place after anyone refers them to the Commisssioner, so it's not clear what you would like to change.
You could start a new petition calling for an independent oversight body for the Parliamentary Commissioner and Standards Committee if that's what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
