Enclosed smoking shelters
Smoking shelters, situated outside many pubs, although scientifically designed for adequate ventilation(a roof and two sides) are causing a great deal of distress to passers by and to the occupants of nearby buildings by the sideways drift of smoke.
All shelters should then be fully enclosed, the toxins being withdrawn via an extractor fan, through a chimney of sufficient height to clear nearby buildings, and be heated and furnished to encourage other smokers into their own area instead of loitering outside littering and polluting the enrance. These improvements to be financed by the increased revenue created by the success of the smoking ban.
