Make it illegal for schools to insist on specific branded or logoed uniform.
Branded uniforms are expensive and unaffordable to many. Generic uniforms are cheap when bought from supermarkets.
The cost of uniforms is spiralling out of control. In a time of Austerity and increasing debt families are having to go without food or heating to cover the cost of uniforms. This is not a choice families should have to make. Uniform compliance has become more important to schools than actual learning.
