Teach British Sign Language in schools
As someone who is hard of hearing, I’ve struggled my entire life and have heavily depended on lip reading just to be able to help me get by.
Instead of learning a different language, I suggest we make British Sign Language lessons an important lesson in primary school and secondary schools!
People who are deaf/hard of hearing often feel alone or like an outcast because there is a massive ‘language’ barrier between hearing and deaf people.
