Petition Action

Ban and criminalise disruptive protests and protect our cities.

Petition Details

These protests should be criminalised, banned and those taking part should have benefits cut, be banned from TfL and employers informed.

Additional Information

Those who work zero hours contracts have had their pay affected, ambulances have been delayed in dealing with vital patient issues and the police are being deployed to protests, reducing the numbers available to fight knife crime, terrorism and other issues. London has been shut down due to protests such as Extinction Rebellion shutting off streets, public transport and businesses. People's jobs and ambulances getting to hospitals are all at risk.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. There are already powers to prevent or end protests, and existing offences for transport disruption.
