This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.

There have been many petitions calling for this, and to make it easier for visitors to find the petition they want to support, site moderators reject duplicate petitions (although sometimes some duplicates to get approved). You can see the petitions that have been rejected, by looking at the 'rejected' tab. As part of your project, you may wish to consider either (a) drafting a petition that is distinctively different from those that are currently live on the system; or (b) selecting a petition that is currently live and considering how you can encourage people to support it.
