Give the people of Hong Kong the opportunity of British citizenship
The United Kingdom has a duty under the Sino-British Joint Declaration to uphold the rights of Hong Kong citizens until 2047 as a joint signatory and ex-colonial power.
The UK Government should offer all Hong-Kong citizens, the opportunity to become UK citizens to protect them and their rights.
The UK should offer British National (Overseas) status to every Hong Kong citizen born before or after 1997.
China would need to act with great caution as they could threaten the lives of British citizens.
The Hong Kong people with their skills and high education should contribute greatly to the UK economy should they wish to move here.
