I wanted my extended family from abroad to attend my wedding, and I sent them a sponsership letter, but home office declined thier visa even though I was guranteeing their return

I searched only and found similiar stories for other people not able to attend wedding, graduation ceremony or funeral

Additional Information

To allow oversea family members to visit their relatives on important occasions, allow sponsor to give £2-5K as a guarantee that the visitor will return after the event

Sponsor can then get this money back

If the visitor does not return, then the guarantor should lose this amount and be disallowed from sponsoring anyone in the future to ensure misuse of the system and penalise the wrong doers, while spare the emotional stress for others

Gov will be able to use these funds to generate income
