Carbon footprint size to be added to traffic light labelling on food products.
This petition is to make it compulsory for the size of the carbon footprint to be added to the traffic light labelling system on food packaging. This will raise awareness to the buyer of the size of the environmental impact the product they are buying has.
This petition will give the buyers a visual reference when they are doing an environmentally friendly shop, making them think twice before they purchase a product with a high negative impact.
Green- small carbon footprint
Amber- medium carbon footprint
Red- large carbon footprint
